On October 20-21, 2022, meetings of the Working Group and the General Meeting of the Association of Legal Entities "International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route " (Association) were held in Tbilisi (Georgia).

The meetings were held under the auspices of the 150th anniversary of the Georgian Railway, which is one of the main links of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route that links China and the countries of Central Asia with Europe by the shortest route. At the General Meeting, the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, delivered a welcoming speech. The meeting participants noted the significant contribution made by the Georgian Railway to the development of transportation along the TITR route and expressed their wish for further effective and stable development.

During the meetings, the participants of the General Meeting approved the regulatory documents governing the activities of the Association, heard a report on the results of the activities of the Association for 9 months of 2022 and agreed on measures to improve the efficiency of transportation along the TITR route.

The participants of the General Meeting noted a 2.7-fold increase in the volume of traffic on the TITR route for 9 months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, they emphasized that more than 23,000 TEU containers were transported in the feeder traffic along the Aktau-Baku-Aktau section.
