As part of this mission, meetings were held with representatives of the transport and logistics sector of Morocco. March 16, 2020, at the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water of the Kingdom of Morocco, representatives of the Middle Corridor delegation met with Adil Bahi, Director of Strategy, Programs and Coordination of Transports and Salah Abidi, Head of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry.

During this meeting, Adil Bahi spoke about the current state of transport and logistics, as well as new development projects of the transport sector of Morocco, which includes the construction of new ports, railway lines and expressways. In return, representatives of the TITR Association presented the transport potential of Middle Corridor, and also introduced the existing TITR services.

On the same day, a meeting was held with Mohammed Yousfi, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL). During the negotiations, the parties presented their infrastructure capabilities and exchanged views in areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular, regarding the perspectives of using Middle Corridor as freight service between the countries of North Africa and Kazakhstan, Central Asia and China.

The visit confirmed the great potential and mutual interest in the future joint projects of TITR participants and the transport and logistics sector of the Kingdom of Morocco. The current mutual trade relations between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as its development and growth in the future, following the expected opening of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Morocco, are promising prerequisites for using Middle Corridor under the conditions of increase of freight traffic between the countries of North Africa and Central Asia.
