On September 20, 2024, the China Railway Express (Xi'an) Global Partners Meeting and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Forum were held in Xi'an, China, where the development of the TITR was discussed.
The welcoming speech at the event was made by the Chairman of the Board of the ALE "International Association "TITR" (Association) Nurlan Sauranbayev, who presented to the forum participants the possibilities of the TITR route as an important link in the formation of the Eurasian transport system. The forum noted that already now the logistics infrastructure in the TITR countries allows for full-fledged competitive transportation along the entire route.
In addition, as part of these events, a Round Table on the Trans-Caspian Route was held, with the participation of the heads of the State Development and Reform Committee of the People's Republic of China, the China Railways Corporation, as well as regular and associate members of the Association.
The round table discussed such issues as the creation of a high-quality service for sending block trains from China to Europe, the modernization of large infrastructure projects along the TITR, the unification of standards for document processing, and many others. According to the latest data, since the beginning of the year alone, thanks to the opening of the Kazakh cargo terminal in Xi'an jointly with Chinese partners, container transit from China along the TITR has shown a 20-fold increase.
Before the round table, the participants visited the international dry port of Xi'an and the Kazakhstan terminal, where they took part in the ceremony of sending off the China-Europe container train along the TITR route. According to experts, the launch of container trains will improve the quality of logistics services, stimulate an increase in cargo volumes, while ensuring a stable cargo flow and expanding the transit and transport potential of TITR. It also ensures ease of delivery for customers, makes it possible to use first and last mile technologies - from door to door.
