August 4-5, 2021, in Kyiv (Ukraine), the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (Association) for the second time since the beginning of 2021 held the field sessions of the Working Group on the development of TITR.
For two days during the meetings, the members of the Working Group discussed the current state and security measures taken along the route, made changes and additions to the Charter of the Association, updated the approved tariff rates for 2021, and also adjusted the volume (forecast) of cargo transportation along the TITR route for the current year. In addition, taking into account the quarantine measures introduced everywhere, the Association's marketing plan for 2021 was updated.
In connection with the expiration of the Agreement on the organization of container service with the usage of feeder vessels between the ports of Aktau – Baku/ Alyat and the Agreement on interaction and responsibility in providing the organization of cargo transportation as part of container trains along the TITR, the experts of the Working Group agreed on the text of the Agreements in a new edition.
In addition, the members of the Working Group, in order to improve the quality of the service provided on the TITR, discussed the creation of a Joint Venture - a single logistics operator on the route, as well as various technological and commercial aspects related to improving the efficiency of all directions of the TITR.
Within the framework of the two-day meeting, the future membership of the Association was also supported, as an associate member of the Turkish logistics company "Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Diş Ticaret A.Ş." and will await final approval by the General Meeting of the Association.
