On June 11, 2024, a conference on the topic “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” was held in London, UK. The event was organized by the Caspian Policy Center.
The conference highlighted key issues of investment and cooperation in the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route. In 2023-2024, the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) played a key role in promoting plans to develop the TITR route. As part of the EU's Global Gateway programme, European and international donors announced in January this year their intention to commit €10 billion to support Middle Corridor links between Europe and Central Asia.
During the conference, the General Secretary of the TITR Association, Gaidar Abdikerimov, presented the current state, infrastructure and further plans for the development and attraction of cargo to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).
