On June 4, 2026, a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese company Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express Co., Ltd. was held at the headquarters of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (TITR Association). The delegation included Director General Xia Jin, Deputy Director General Liu Bin, Chairman of the Board of the Supply Chain Management Company Liu Chongyu, and Head of the Logistics Department Wu Yunhui.
During the meeting, representatives of Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express Co., Ltd. presented the capabilities of the Jiangsu Province international rail network, which operates under the "Four Directions - Eight Corridors" model. This network includes 26 sustainable international routes spanning 26 countries and around 80 international logistics terminals located along the "Belt and Road" initiative routes.
The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as well as strengthening transport and logistics ties between China, Kazakhstan, and the states located along the TITR route. Special attention was paid to the potential of Lianyungang Port, which is a member of the TITR Association. It was noted that the port's capabilities could be effectively utilized to attract additional cargo flows to the TITR route by developing transportation lines connecting Japan, the Republic of Korea, Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, with further cargo delivery to European markets. Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in developing partnership relations and agreed to continue cooperation on attracting cargo flows and improving transport efficiency along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
