On November 30, 2023, in Tbilisi, Georgia, the 22nd CAREC Ministerial Conference was held, in which representatives of the ALE “International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” (hereinafter referred to as the TITR Association) took part.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, made a welcoming speech at the event, who emphasized the importance of implementing large-scale infrastructure projects of the TITR to ensure its “smooth” work. The Prime Minister added that large-scale projects include the construction of a new deep-sea port in the coastal city of Anaklia in western Georgia, the modernization of Georgian railways, as well as many other projects.

In addition, the President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsugu Asakawa, was the guest of honor at the event, and in his speech he emphasized ADB’s ongoing focus on climate-related initiatives, including minimizing its carbon footprint and promoting a green economy in the region.

As part of the event, the General Secretary of the TITR Association, Gaidar Abdikerimov, also gave a speech, where he informed the conference participants about the activities of the association and the medium-term prospects for the development of the TITR route.
