On 17 May 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan, a round table on "Prospects for joint development of the TITR route" was held by the ALE “International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (ALE “IA "TITR").
The round table was attended by a delegation of PRC logistics enterprises, members of the Association, as well as invited companies.
Before the start of the round table, the Secretary General of ALE “IA "TITR", Gaidar Abdikerimov, and the President of "Lianyungang Association of "Belt and Road" Development Research, Secretary General of the Alliance of International Freight Railway Expresses, Ling Beizhang, made a welcoming speech, in which they emphasised the importance of joint development of the route of transit-transport potential of TITR.
During the round table, Mr Beizhang spoke about the prospects of integration of the new Euro-Asian continental bridge with the TITR route. In addition, the General Manager of Maersk Group on cross-border transportations, Tang Yali, acquainted the participants of the event about the company's activities in the Euro-Asian transport space, and also noted the prospects of cooperation with ALE “IA “TITR" on container transportations along TITR, including the possibility of access through the Black Sea sea-gates to the ports of Italy, Spain, Germany.
Meanwhile, the participants of the route told about the potential and development plans of TITR. Thus, Deputy Secretary General of ALE "IA "TMTM", Saut Shynybaev, presented the Chinese side with relevant information and prospects for the development of the TITR route. General Director of "Semurg Invest" LLP, Nurzhan Marabaev, shared the opportunities of the new multifunctional marine terminal "Sarzha", and the chief manager of the transport logistics department of "Aktau Commercial Sea Port" JSC, Kairat Kaliola, in his speech spoke about the work and opportunities of the Aktau port as a link of the TITR route.
The round table provided an opportunity to discuss common interests, exchange experience for further interaction and development of long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships between the companies.
