On February 22, 2022, at the headquarters of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (TITR Association) in Nur-Sultan, a business meeting was held between the Secretary General of the TITR Association, Gaidar Abdikerimov and the Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA, Asset Assavbayev.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views, as well as discussed the results of the work of the TITR Association and the PS IGC TRACECA for 2021.
In the framework this visit, the Secretary General of the PS IGC TRACECA shared the organization's upcoming development plans for 2022. According to Mr. A. Asavbaev, the prospects of the organization include the conclusion of the Agreement on the TRACECA Single Transit Permit with the Republic of Kazakhstan, the implementation of digitalization projects, the introduction of electronic queues, as well as the development of road and rail transport within the TRACECA corridor. For his part, the General Secretary of the TITR Association also spoke about the upcoming plans for the development of Middle Corridor.
In addition, the parties outlined promising areas for cooperation between the two organizations in 2022, and also noted that only the joint efforts of the two organizations will create a modern and competitive corridor between Asia and Europe.
