On May 16-18, 2018, in Shanghai (China) the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" took part in the 8th International Exhibition for Logistics, Mobility, IT and Supply Chain Management – Transport logistic China 2018.
Transport logistic China is held once in two years and considered as the one of the largest transport and logistics exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. According to organizers, 667 exhibitors from 65 countries and regions took part in the exhibition this year. The number of visitors was over 26 000 people from more than 67 countries.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a series of negotiations and business meetings aimed to the development of the TITR (Middle Corridor) took place, including the meetings at the booth of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route", with the participation of representatives of the Regular and Associate members of the Association from the Azerbaijan, Georgian and Polish railways.
One of the meetings was held between Secretary General of the Association Rakhmetolla Kudaibergenov and Deputy General Manager of CRCT Ltd. (China Railway Container Transport Corp., Ltd.) Zhong Cheng, where were discussed the competitiveness of current tariff rates and the transit time for cargos transporting along the TITR (Middle Corridor) and also joining of CRCT Ltd. to the Association as being a member.
Within the framework of the business program of the exhibition, the conference "New solutions for transit business between Asia and Europe" was held by FELB company. Representatives of the Association jointly with "PKP Broad Gauge Metallurgical Railway Line" LLC (PKP LHS), which is an Associate member of the Association, took part in the conference. The main topics of the conference were the possibilities of the TITR (Middle Corridor) with the Slawkow (Poland) as a destination point and the presentation of the PKP LHS railway line to Slawkow as a new competitive logistics link and transit point. Later on the same day an agreement with FELB company on the launch of the first test train by the TITR (Middle Corridor) in the direction of China from Europe was reached.
The current status and the capacity of railway and sea infrastructure along the TITR (Middle Corridor) were also highlighted at the conference "New Silk Road Forum", organized by MESSE MÜNCHEN GMBH.
