On April 5, 2018, the feeder vessel Mahmud Rehimov, residing to the «Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping» CJSC (ACS CJSC), moored to the Aktau seaport purposely for servicing a regular feeder container line of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor). Later on the next day, 70 twenty-foot containers (TEU) with Kazakhstani wheat and lentil were stowed on the vessel.
On February 16, 2018 in Ankara, Turkey, first for this year General Meeting of the members of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (TITR) was held.
February 6, 2018, in Beijing, China, a conference was held on the theme "The role of the Trans-Caspian East-West trade and transit corridor in the realization of the "Belt & Road" initiative". The event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in China.
January 17, 2018 in Astana, Kazakhstan, the representatives of the international seaports of Kazakhstan, the Georgian international seaport of Anaklia, the Dry port KTZE-Khorgos Gateway, "NC "KTZ" JSC and the multimodal operator "KTZ Express" JSC held a joint meeting at the headquarters of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route". During negotiations possible future cooperation, exchange of the experience, and potential for use TITR (Middle Corridor) were discussed. Levan Akhvlediani, CEO of the Anaklia Development Consortium, presented the opportunities of the international seaport of Anaklia (Georgia).
